Two keys to unlocking great sound in a car stereo system are serious power and extensive control — and this amp's got them both. For power, AudioControl's D-6.1200 6-channel amplifier generates 125 watts RMS per channel, so it'll drive even the most demanding aftermarket speakers with plenty of headroom to spare. You could also bridge to drive a couple subwoofers with 400 watts RMS each.
Computer-controlled digital signal processing
You won't find any knobs on the D-6.1200 — you make adjustments and save settings via your PC, Android, or iOS device. AudioControl's Smart-User DSP software package includes 24 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley crossovers, 30-band equalizers, parametric filters, time delay/alignment for inputs and outputs, phase correction, AccuBass™ bass correction, and real-time analyzers (RTA) for the inputs and outputs so you can visually confirm the improvements in the sound.
It's made to work with a factory radio
Eight active speaker-level inputs allow you to connect this amp to almost any factory system, even ones that have separate pre-filtered, time-aligned, and amplified signals going to separate factory speakers and tweeters. The D-4.800 sums them into one smooth, unified signal for you to balance, align, and tune for your better-sounding aftermarket speakers. AudioControl's Great Turn On (GTO™) signal-sensing circuitry turns the amp on automatically whenever it senses an input, so you won't have to run a separate turn-on lead back to the receiver.
Convenient features
Onboard LEDs indicate optimized signal flow for inputs and outputs, plus give you a warning when a source is too loud and causing distortion. An optional ACR-3 wired remote controller lets you select sources, control levels, and recall presets from your front seat.
Alle Features im Überblick
GTO Signal Sense
Many cars can turn on the factory amplifier even if the source unit is off (Alarms, Cell phones, etc). To prevent this from turning your system on unexpectedly, you can bypass the GTO™ circuit by moving the GTO™ jumper, and using an applied 12-volts at the Remote In terminal. Using the jumper may result in some factory features not working fully.
AccuBASS® Processing
Factory installed amplifiers and woofers are (unfortunately) not designed to reproduce bass at high volumes. Car manufacturers adapt to this by taking the bass out of the signal when you turn up the volume. AudioControl developed the patent pending AccuBASS™ circuit to restore bass. After a quick and easy one-time setting, the AccuBASS™ circuit takes over the bass just as the factory system rolls off. You get smooth, seamless, and rock solid bass response regardless of volume level.
MILC™ Source Clip LED
The MILC™ (Maximum Input Level Control) patent-pending level-setting circuit prevents clipping and damaging distortion. It calculates when the waveform of an incoming audio signal on input 1 and 2 is clipping, and if it is, this LED will fulfill its prime objective and shine forth. With this advanced feature, you are able to optimize the level of the incoming audio signals until the Source Clip LED is just-prior to lighting. If the LED comes on during normal operation, you should adjust the level of the audio signals before they reach the D-6.1200.
Remote Level Control ACR-3 (Optional)
The AudioControl ACR-3 dash control is a remote level for your D-6.1200 amplifier. It may be mounted under the dash using its own enclosure, or through a custom hole in the dash. The knob should be within reach of the driver, and in a spot where the LED is plainly visible.
