The calibrated Measuring Microphone C555H from Josephson Engineering is a highly accurate tool for all acoustic measurements in sound design, car audio, audio engineering and other engineering space. A precise measuring microphone with omnidirectional characteristic, robust, durable and noble in design.
All Josephson microphones are manufactured in California (USA) and are subject to strict guidelines and regulations. The XLR connector makes them virtually compatible with any professional measurement or analysis device.
High-quality equipment, cables and lots of accessories can be found here in the shop.
Polar pattern: omnidirect - (bullet)
The polar pattern of a microphone indicates the efficiency or efficiencies with which the microphone receives sound waves. In the Josephson C555H measurement microphone, the directivity is an omnidirectional characteristic, because there is no specific orientation. Ideal for all measurements, one can visualize a multiplicity of acoustic characteristics via analysis tools with appropriate output devices, always under the aspect of adapting and setting a sound system to predominant structural or technical conditions (car, concert hall, home cinema etc.).
Calibrated microphone
The calibration of an microphone on the basis of fixed values and norms, makes it absolutely suitable to carry out measurements whose values requires calibration according to certain standards.
Display of measured values on a notebook (AudioControl Software)
Microphones of the Josephson C555 series are a good alternative to the comparatively extremely expensive nickel diaphragm microphones, which differ to a extent only in that their frequency and noise level range is a few wider. In precision and longevity they practically do not differ at all.
Put together an appropriate measuring tool from measuring microphone(s), analyzer, adapters and cables, in the shop you will find selected technology.
This microphone is a must for every acoustician, sound engineer, sound designer, interior designer or other engineer. Due to the long life production, it will be a permanent companion for everyone who is active professional or private in the field of sound and sound or want to be!
A Configuration from Josephson measurement microphone, XLR cable, analyzer incl. software, which displays all values in real time for example here at a notebook.
Technical subtleties
The Josephson C555H STANDARD, like the calibrated version, operates in a frequency range between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. The 6-mm capacitor capsule features a permanently polarized (charged) Rück plate and a 3.5 µm polyester membrane metallized with an robust nickel-chromium alloy. The frequency response is very flat, just 2 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. As with all Josephson microphones, the diaphragm is set to minimal drift over time during the manufacturing process.
The microphone has an operating range of approximately 100dB, it provides a 10 mV / Pa output suitable for microphone level inputs. The flat frequency response is ideal for sound impact on the axis. It can be operated as standard with 15 to 48 volt phantom power supply, it provides a balanced powered output via XLR. When operating with only 15 V, a small reduction of the maximum level is to be expected!
Series 5 microphones have been using in all tecnical areas for more than 20 years. Us experiences shows best qualities and a bigest knowhow.
