The SP 4.900 is the first Hertz output stage with the renewed Hertz ADC output stage (Advanced D-Class), which achieves an efficiency of up to 85% and an impressive power rating of 160 x 4 (4 Ω) W RMS or bridged 500 x 2 (4 Ω) W RMS with an ultra-compact size of 8.3 x 5.1 (inche). The ultra-compact SP 4.900 with impressive performance is the ideal choice for motorcycle applications and for mounting under seats in sports cars and installations in trucks.

ADC technology

Hertz ADC technology ensures that the SP 4,900 exceeds the usual ultra-compact amplifier performances, delivers an excellent S/N ratio of 105 dBA and 0.02% THD specifications, and almost completely eliminates EMI and RFI noise with the Result of an incomparable sound quality. This versatility is perfect for driving high-performance front speakers (4Ω) with a bridged (4Ω) subwoofer. The SP 4.900 is fully protected against overheating and direct current (DC) at the output and immediately switches to protection mode (red LED lights up) to protect your loudspeaker system.

The IP55-certified aluminum housing offers maximum protection against moisture and external agents, the lack of an internal fan prevents the accumulation of dirt inside. The main circuit board of the SP 4.900 features a conformal coating to prevent damage from internal condensation, a condition that can occur when warm, humid air hits the amplifier enclosure at a lower temperature.

Furnishing

The SP 4.900 features an integrated sealed power cable, line inputs and speaker outputs for a safe motorcycle application, providing a secure power supply even in the worst weather conditions. The solid power supply harness ensures an ultra-stable power and ground connection and prevents contact loss due to vibration. Because of its special design, the SP 4.900 is the ultimate option for motorcycle, marine and powersports applications.

Versatile crossover filters and control knobs are all on one side for easy calibration or adjustment once the power amp is installed.

The filter section includes extremely flexible high-pass and low-pass crossovers, adjustable from 50 Hz to 5 kHz with 12 dB/oct. edge steepness. Together with a bass boost control (45 Hz, 0÷8 dB) they allow both front channels to be configured for full range operation or for use with a subwoofer and associated speakers.

The high-pass crossover can also be used to optimize the performance of the highly efficient SPL Show NEO coaxial speakers, the perfect partners for the SP 4.900.
