SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Please observe the following safety instructions and perform all the installation steps carefully and completely because failure to follow directions in materials, personal injury and damage may result. The installation must be performed only by specialist workshops!
• First, check the following if an installation of the mats is possible:
  a) the case of seats with bonded covers the installation is expensive or impossible.
  b) the case of seats with longitudinal trenches a replacement is not possible.
  c) the case of seats with a center panel with 270mm width of the mounting is not possible, because the edges must end before the lateral longitudinal trenches.
• Observe the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer with an existing seat occupancy recognition!
• Observe the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer with existing pretensioners!
• Observe the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer when existing side airbag in the seat backrest!
  a) Seat covers and seams may not be changed.
  b) heating mats may be applied only in the central part of the foam cushion.
• Insure yourself against diagram of the car that the vehicle power supply and the cable cross-sections for the additional current loads are suitable.
• Check if there is a suitable place for installation of the switch
• Use only the original components supplied!
• The heating elements must not be reduced in width. Longitudinal sections are not allowed. Narrow transverse cut-outs, as well as the shortening of the mat on the wire the opposite end, it is possible!
• The mats can be placed through the transverse grooves of the foam cushion, but edges of a cross cutout must end before the grooves.
• The carbon fibers may not have contact with electrically conductive components such as upholstery clips or seat frame have. Insulate cutout edges with duct tape.
• In the cross-outs, the electrodes must not be damaged. Keep a minimum distance of 40mm to the side edge.
• The carbon fibers, which are usually on the side of the mat a few millimeters above standing may, in no case have contact with electrically conductive components. Also any contact with guy wires in compressed state must be avoided!
• The heaters must be securely fixed (z. B. suitable spray) and installed without creases, otherwise fire hazard arises!
• Make sure that the heating elements are not damaged during installation. Possible causes include upholstery clips, auxiliary tools or sharp seat frame.
• When bonding the heating elements of the moldings has silicone, be grease and dust. Full bond strength can be obtained by sufficient contact pressure and sufficient contact time. It usually takes a few hours. A fully built heating element must not be re-dissolved and reinstalled.
• Make sure when properly route and secure the cable to the fact that the seat can be moved easily in the guide rails!
• Contact with sharp edges, kinks and tensile stresses are to be avoided in order not to damage the cable insulation!
• Write down codes of volatile memories (radio, navigation, etc.) and disconnect from the work on the vehicle electrical system, for connection of the heating elements, the battery from!
• The heating temperature varies depending on seating and reference material.
• In case of failure first please check the fuse!
• Explain when handing over to the customer the operation and safety aspects.
