Morel loudspeakers with EVC™ technology use voice coils up to three times larger than those used in conventional loudspeakers, allowing for improved heat dissipation, power handling and linearity. The EVC™ design moves the magnetic motor system into the voice coil and eliminates stray magnetic flux by effectively directing all magnetic energy to the voice coil. The EVC architecture is over 90% more efficient than traditional designs, magnetically shielded, and extremely compact.
Ferrite magnets are most commonly used in speakers. Although they look similar, there are different types of magnets. Morel uses only the highest intensity available in his designs. As a result, Morel's magnet systems are extremely compact and still deliver a higher magnetic flux than conventional ferrite magnets.
Paper has been used since the first loudspeakers and remains an exceptional material of choice. Morel's latest paper composite cones are ultra-lightweight, making them an exceptional combination for drivers with smaller motors and voice coils.
