The Axxes AX-TYAMP1-SWC CAN-BUS adapter is required to replace the original factory radio or navigation system with a retrofit radio from Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer or other aftermarket equipment. Suitable for Lexus, Toyota 2004-2015, the adapter secures various functions for it among other things:
- Audio controls on the steering wheel
- Factory AUX-IN jack
- Balance
- Navi outputs: parking brake and reverse
Why a CAN-Bus Adapter?
Today's radio or navigation systems not only reproduce the music of the radio or navigation commands, but are also deeply networked with the vehicle electronics. This communication structure, called CAN bus, connects control units, sensors, multimedia devices and much more with each other.
Therefore, when replacing the factory radio / navigation system, a vehicle-specific CAN bus adapter is required to maintain communication between all devices integrated into the CAN bus.
