If your car radio does not have a preamp output and you still want to connect a power amplifier, then this high/low level converter ensures an easy connection.
This converter converts the HIGH signal of the factory-installed system (speaker output) into a LOW preamplifier signal. This converter makes it possible to connect additional power amplifiers/amplifiers in the car with little effort. A classic application example is the installation of a subwoofer.
The two channels can be controlled individually. Ideal for factory or series car radios.
Strong qualities
Achieve very good sound properties and strong bass with this converter. By lowering the level to "preamp level" you also reduce any unwanted noise such as hissing or crackling!
Tips for installation
- Level on the converter to MIN. place
- Set the gain control on the power amplifier to 50%
- Set radio volume to 75%
- Slowly turn the left level on the converter towards MAX until the sound in the speaker begins to distort...
- ... then slowly turn the right level towards MAX until the same volume is reached
We recommend installing it in the immediate vicinity of the power amplifier.
