You need the active system adapter when replacing the factory radio in Mercedes or Porsche, which are factory-equipped with MOST bus and an active sound system. The adapter enables the new radio or navigation system to be installed neatly on the existing sound system.

Original amplifier can still be used with retrofit radio

To drive the amplifier, the adapter replicates the special signals of the MOST bus. This saves you from complex bypass solutions or expensive constructions with new components. You can also continue to enjoy the sound quality you are used to, even with your new radio/navigation system.

Depending on the vehicle and the OEM active system installed, various functions such as faders or sound and subwoofer settings may be omitted. In individual cases, depending on the OEM system and the retrofit radio, increased hissing or a switching on or off noise can occur.
