This cut-off relay kit is recommended when a second or additional batteries are to be installed in the vehicle.

The voltage-independent relay (BSR) allows you to charge two batteries simultaneously. If with the engine running a voltage of about 13.5V achieved, the relay is energized and the second battery is also loaded to the primary battery.

If you switch off the engine, the vehicle voltage drops below 12.8V and the relay separates the starter battery from the second battery.

This system prevents discharge the starter battery and protects sensitive electronic equipment, which is connected to the secondary battery from voltage spikes that can occur when starting the engine.
