The ES 165 K2 kit consists of two 6½" (165 mm) woofers and has a very high sensitivity (92.8 dB/oct.). The loudspeaker drivers of the ES 165 K2 set have the famous yellow Kevlar® cones of the K2 Power line. Due to their low weight, their rigidity and their excellent damping, they ensure an extremely dynamic sound and perfect definition. In combination with the new TMD suspension, there is no distortion whatsoever. The phase plug in the middle of the Membrane improves sound distribution around the vehicle.
The trebles are reproduced by the two "M"-shaped TKM inverted dome tweeters in aramid fiber, equipped with Hi-Fi dual-amplifier crossovers. High frequencies (up to 22 kHz) are reproduced perfectly, fluently and precisely.

"Radial VC" cooling for higher sound pressure
The new Radial VC cooling system for the speaker driver voice coils directs hot air through six holes from the voice coil to the underside of the magnet. This improves control over voice coil temperature, limits the effects of thermal compression and improves reliability. This significantly increases the efficiency of the speaker driver. It also improves dynamics and produces a more powerful sound
