The GROM VLine VL2 is an Android interface that is fully integrated into the infotainment system. With it you can use navigation apps like Google Maps, music apps like Spotify and other applications from the Google Play Store.
Alternatively, music can also be sent to the VLine via Bluetooth, USB stick or SD card. For music playback, the VLine uses the factory sound system for pure, crystal clear sound.
An Android 8.1 system with an automotive user interface is used for easy selection and control of all applications. With 3GB RAM, the VL2 has more than enough memory for fast load and boot times, as well as a high operating speed.
With the integrated Google Maps, Waze Maps or other map applications you can easily navigate to your destination.
The A2DP music streaming works with all Bluetooth enabled smartphones and mostly with cover art and title support. A2DP = Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, is a manufacturer-independent technology for wireless transmission of stereo audio signals via Bluetooth to an appropriate receiver device.
VLine VL2 can play any music app available on the Google Play Store. However, all VLine systems have built-in app plug-ins to create a consistent environment with large display fonts and graphics for ease of use while driving, such as Spotify, Pandora, Google Music and Web Radio.
This enables the use of voice control via navigation with Google, Waze, Sygic and HereWeGo maps. Voice Activation is also available in music app plug-ins such as Spotify, Web Radio, Pandora, Google Music and local music stored on USB stick / SD card and connected to VLine VL2.
The VLine integrates itself completely into the vehicle system and is operated via the touch screen. For vehicles with rotary knobs, you can control the VLine via this knob. Steering wheel remote controls work with VLine and help you jump tracks forwards or backwards.
Wifi connectivity is a prerequisite for using most VLine applications and maps. VLine can connect to the Internet via Wifi, either via Smartphone Internet Tethering or as a Mobile Standalone 4G LTE data hotspot.
In addition, the VLine Interface offers 2 AV inputs and one HDMI input for video playback. Further features planned for the future are: Display of OBDII information and integration of front/rear cameras.
