DAB for clear and noisy radio reception

In contrast to analogue FM transmission, DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a method for the digital transmission of radio signals over a network of terrestrial radio transmitters. It offers the listener more options and information in clear sound quality without any noise. You do not have to memorize any frequency with DAB digi- tal transmitters.

What is the difference between DAB + and DAB ?

DAB + is a further development of the DAB standard, assumes all the functions of DAB , but offers additional advantages. The technical difference lies in the audio coding used, ie the two standards use different methods for the preparation of the data before and after the transmission. While DAB with MPEG-1 Audio Layer 2, DAB + MPEG-4 uses HE-AAC v2, the most efficient audio compression in the world.
