Our brake light cameras are vehicle-specific, tailor-made solutions for integrating a rear view camera. Thanks to the elegant integration via replacement with the brake light, the camera on the vehicle is very inconspicuous. Due to the precise fit, it is installed there securely and firmly.
By positioning it instead of the brake light, the camera is high up and looks downwards at an angle. This means you can see the entire relevant rear area of the vehicle when parking, turning or maneuvering.
With the IP69K protection class achieved, the camera is prepared for all environmental influences, meaning it is both dust and water protected. Even temperatures from -30 to +70°C cannot harm the camera.
The camera is a special 5V special model that is intended for connection in vehicles with factory-installed camera cables (with integrated 5V power supply) such as Sunlight, Carado or Etrusco from 2017.
If your vehicle has a 12V power supply for the camera, you will need our 12V CAMERA model.
If you connect a 5V camera to a 12V camera line, it will be destroyed! Before installation, you must check whether the correct voltage of 5V is present!
By simply replacing the factory brake light with ours with integrated reversing camera, the original appearance is hardly changed. The high-quality workmanship and materials ensure longevity and always reliable operation. Installation is quick, easy and requires no drilling.
The curvature of the roof edge above the rear doors makes installation more difficult and therefore severely limits the rear viewing area. The integration into the brake light lens and the resulting distance enables a significantly better view of elements behind the vehicle.
As a special feature, the brake light camera has 2 independent camera modules. Module #1 mit 170° Blickwinkel erfasst sehr viel Inhalt in der Breite und ist zuständig für den Nahbereich direkt hinter dem eigenen Fahrzeug. Modul # 2 has a viewing angle of 95° and is intended for recording traffic.
The video signal is transmitted via the included video connection cable and sent to a monitor, a retrofit navigation system (e.g. from Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, etc.) or via the rear view camera interface (optional) directly on the factory navigation system when inserting the Reverse gear is automatically displayed in the navigation system.
The number of TV lines determines the sharpness of the image and therefore the resolution. The higher, the clearer and more detailed the camera image is displayed on the monitor.
With protection class IP69K, the camera is well protected against environmental influences such as moisture and dust. The first number indicates protection against foreign objects/touch, while the second refers to water resistance.
