Top Tweeter Hertz MP 280.3

The system uses the Tweeter MP 280.3 with 28 mm diameter all the technological features of the Mille Legend ML28.3 takes over. The geometry of the Tetolon dome maximizes the typical radiation during off-axis hearing. The rear acoustic chamber with damping material helps to extend the frequency response to lower frequencies and achieve a resonance frequency of only 900 Hz. In this way, the transition point between high and Woofer lowered, which improves the sound image in the dashboard of the vehicle. The massive neodymium motor minimizes non-linearity and controls the music program with very dynamic transients. The CCAW voice coil (Copper Clad Aluminum Wire) guarantees a particularly light and stiff movable assembly. These technological elements interact with each other, resulting in a high frequency extension of 28 kHz, a record for a Tweeter with a 28 mm voice coil. The system is supplied with an elegant and compact, angled tweeter holder: this enables easy installation both on the A-pillars and on the dashboard of the car. The correct angle of the tweeter improves the stereo image, which is essential for an appealing listening experience.

Woofer Hertz MP 165P.3

The electro-acoustic parameters of the MP 165P.3 woofer have been forged to give it the pure and solid sound of an authentic midrange that has been developed for highly dynamic systems. The voice coil with a generous height of 14 mm has a nominal impedance of 3 Ω and an increased load capacity. These properties allow maximum utilization of the performance of the Hertz HCP and HDP amplifiers as well as the entire 2 Ω stable electronics. The ferrite magnet with a diameter of 95 mm enables a linear deflection of the voice coil of +/- 4.5 mm, which ensures maximum control at all times. The Boundary Free Surround moves a larger amount of air, and the V-cone® profile improves the off-axis radiation, i.e. the real listening conditions in the car. The sophisticated basket made of aluminum alloy neutralizes the unwanted vibrations.

Crossover Hertz MPCX 165.3

The crossover MPCX 165.3 creates the optimal sound balance between the Tweeter MP 28.3 and the Woofer MP 165P.3. It has bimetallic capacitors with polyester dielectric for maximum acoustic transparency and air-wound coils that are built on pure copper wire with a diameter of up to 1 mm and eliminate saturation. It also contains wire-wound resistors with low parasitic inductance. The Hi-Contour controller with two positions offers the possibility of fine-tuning the system frequency response and optimizes it according to the different speaker positions. Above all, thanks to the three-stage control for the radiation level of the tweeter, listeners can achieve their favorite sound with 2 dB steps (+ 2/0 / -2dB) attenuation.
