The subwoofers of the SX series set new performance standards for powerful and precise bass. They have a particularly innovative design and state-of-the-art technology for traditional installation situations (SX Woofer) and for those with reduced installation depth (SXt Woofer).

The SX subwoofers are equipped with a high temperature resistant 63mm/2.5" voice coil for even better power handling and durability as well as a huge double magnet. The centering spider has the long voice coil firmly under control, thus avoiding vibrations in the drive and power losses. The subwoofers are optimized for both closed and bass reflex cabinets- for incredibly precise and powerful bass. The recommended output power is 300W RMS, available in 2x2Ohm or 2x4Ohm.

  Best possible power delivery at 200W-400W RMS

  300W RMS is the optimal power range for every SX1 subwoofer. In a closed or bass reflex cabinet, the woofer will exploit its full potential and be very durable. Firing a SX1 Sub with more than 300W RMS generates only significantly more heat in the drive with minimal power increase.

  Contrary to popular car audio myths, subwoofers do not need as much power as you think. A well engineered subwoofer such as the SX1 that has the proper balance of efficiency, compliance and excursion will reach extremely loud levels with much less power than most users would expect.

  The very solid steel basket not only provides the membrane with enough space for air movement, but also leaves plenty of room for deflecting the membrane underneath the centering.

  Highly flexible rubber bead

  The very stable and durable butyl rubber bead is also up to date with its high profile, which allows a lot of stroke but takes away only a small amount of membrane surface and thus provides the most linear frequency response.

  Push terminals

  Optimum signal transmission thanks to solid nickel-plated push connections and convenient cable connection for direct reception of cables up to 4mm² (12GA).

  Pole core ventilation

  A hole in the pole plate provides additional ventilation for the voice coil, which is wound on an aluminium support and blackened for better heat radiation.

Optimized for Sealed or Vented Enclosures

For bass reflex cabinets, a Subsonic filter at 30-40Hz is strongly recommended.
