This reversing camera has been specially developed for use on the VW T6. The well-known problem: on vehicles with rear doors can not be mounted easily a rear view camera. If you use a conventional body-mounted camera, you can orient it downwards, but the rear end of many vehicles runs slightly upwards towards the top. A normal reversing camera would detect this curvature and thereby cover the trailer hitch, the running board or the bumper.

The brake light camera is exchanged for the 3rd brake light installed in your vehicle. The function of the brake light remains. This mounting position gives you a perfect view from above as well as when parking or maneuvering.

The high-resolution sensor provides optimal image reproduction to make maneuvering and parking as comfortable as possible.

Perfect design

Unlike normal bodybuilders, this is directly integrated in the brake light glass and thus fits well into the overall vehicle image and is still practical. The projection allows the camera module to be perfectly adapted to the respective vehicle.

Of course, one was aware of the development of the special requirements for such a camera, the camera module corresponds to the protection class IP68 and is completely waterproof and dustproof.

Attention, please note:

Playback on the factory navigation system via rear view camera interface (optional)
If you would like to play back the image of the reversing camera comfortably on your existing monitor of your factory navigation system, you will need an additional rear view camera interface.
View to the rear
Depending on the roof structure and the trailer hitch installed on the vehicle, the trailer hitch can not be viewed on the monitor.
Avoid picture interference with our signal filter (optional)
Vehicles of recent date use for the power supply of the vehicle exterior lighting (tail light, brake light, etc.) a pulsed (pulsating) voltage, which is unsuitable for image sensors / video electronics and functional or image disturbances result.
Please do not connect the connecting cable for activating the reversing camera directly to the reversing light, but use our signal filter. For a suitable signal filter, see Accessories.
